Lama Lodro Zangmo: “Developing Peace of Mind in Troubled Times”

  • Phat An Vietnamese Buddhist Temple 475 Minnesota Avenue Roseville, MN, 55113 United States (map)

The sangha at Twin Cities KTC cordially invites you to an Open House weekend that will feature two teachings by Lama Lodro Zangmo to be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 3 and 4, at the Vietnamese Buddhist Temple in Roseville.  Lama Zangmo practiced with us at KTC Minneapolis in Edina from 2002 until 2008, when she entered her first three-year retreat at Karme Ling Retreat Center in Delhi, NY.  Since then, she has completed three three-year retreats under the guidance of Ven. Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche, who appointed her as the Karme Ling women’s retreat master.  Lama Zangmo received her getsulma (novice nun) vows from Ven. Thrangu Rinpoche in 2012.

On Sunday, doors open at 9:30 a.m. when we will serve tea and provide tours of the Vietnamese Buddhist Temple, which is our temporary home for practice until a permanent location can be found.  The teaching, entitled “Developing Peace of Mind in Troubled Times,” will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by Chenrezig practice.   This teaching is timely not just because there is so much conflict close to home and throughout the world, but because we are so distracted by the stresses of work and home, not to mention constant interruptions from social media.
